C F A Voysey (1857-1941) is one of the best-known and most enduringly popular designers of the Arts & Crafts Movement. He designed a broad range of applied arts objects, from furniture and ceramics, to wallpaper and fabrics. His best-known works are characterised by simple, stylized, repeat patterns featuring motifs found in the natural world, with a particular fondness for birds.
