What you will need:

  • Mason jar(s)
  • Adhesive vinyl
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Scissors (unless you have a cutting machine)
  • Sponge or brush to apply paint

I’ve been so inspired by all of the beautiful fall decor that has been popping up in stores lately!  The crisp, warm colors of fall are so inviting.  I don’t have a lot of fall decor and this year I am bound and determined to change that.  I whipped up this cute Mason Jar Fall Luminary in no time at all!

I began by cutting out a maple leaf of adhesive vinyl with my Cricut Explore.  If you don’t have a cutting machine, you can trace and cut out a leaf design on adhesive vinyl.

Pick an acrylic paint color that you want to use.  I chose persimmon.

Pro tip:  I use a foil cupcake liner for my paint!  Makes clean up a breeze!

Begin painting the mason jar.

Be sure you allow the paint to dry completely between each coat.  Otherwise, it will clump and pull away from the glass.  It took about 3 coats for it to be completely covered.

Once it is dry, gently peel away the vinyl leaf.  Touch up any rough edges

I added some corn kernels to the bottom and placed the votive candle inside.  Finish off with some twine or ribbon around the top of the jar!

Super cute and add just a hint of fall color and decor to any home!
